The Question

What is the question you are too afraid to even ask yourself?

The question

The question

What is the place you’ve buried away somewhere

Somewhere

What is the question you are too afraid to even ask yourself?

The question that keeps you spinning around asking and answering countless other questions. So you should never have to even ask yourself that one.

Inspired by Sometimes by David Whyte.

This is an exercise I did this past week with great success. I wrote the poem, and then immediately set out to asking and then answering the questions. What I found was that asking the questions, questions that once held me in a grip of terror was liberating and that asking the question was the hardest part. Answering the questions was not nearly as challenging as I had thought. Try it. Just start typing.
